About the “Lola Flores” cocktail
The “Lola Flores” is inspired by my last trip to Spain and Spanish culture. The love for food and drink is something I wanted to celebrate with this cocktail. It is essentially an equal parts martini with the Gin and Brandy acting together as the base spirits, and the vermouths and Palo Cortado working together as the fortified wine part. The pineapple and saffron play together in a sweet vs. savory way. The drink can be a great aperitivo, yet is meant to carry you through an entire meal, as it pairs well with a variety of foods and flavors.
